This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine,

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine,

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.

Let it shine, Let it shine, Let it shine!

Shine all over the world, I’m gonna let it shine,

Shine all over the world, I’m gonna let it shine,

Shine all over the world, I’m gonna let it shine.

Let it shine, Let it shine, Let it shine.

Everywhere I go, I’m gonna let it shine,

Everywhere I go, I’m gonna let it shine,

Everywhere I go, I’m gonna let it shine.

Let it shine, Let it shine, let it shine.

Under a bushel Oh no!, I’m going to let it shine,

Under a bushel Oh no!, I’m going to let it shine,

Under a bushel Oh no!, I’m going to let it shine.

Let it Shine, All the time, Let it shine.

Jesus gave it to me, I’m gonna let it shine,

Jesus gave it to me, I’m gonna let it shine,

Jesus gave it to me, I’m gonna let it shine.

Let it shine, Let it shine, Let it shine.

Summary:

This popular gospel song takes inspiration from various parts of the Holy Bible. As per the Bible, “Light” as mentioned above could mean many things. But for the most part, “Light” here as per the Holy Bible means, each person is a light of their own. Also, that it is only light that chases away the darkness. And that a lamp isn’t lit to hide it, which seems to be the most prevailing message. Also, read Brahms Lullaby.

In this poem, the author is trying to give a message to the world. The message is that the light, the light that Jesus has given us which we all hold within us cannot be hidden. The author encourages us to let it shine as bright as possible. He asks us to let it illuminate the entire world with it.

Also, the author is encouraging us to let it shine everywhere we go. Further, the author uses the line ” Under a bushel Oh no! I’m going to let it shine“, to show us that no matter how hard we try, we won’t be able to hide it. Also, he says that the light that Jesus himself gave to us as a gift, he won’t hide it. And he ends with “Let it shine, let it shine”, as if to encourage us to let the light shine. You may also like to read, Silent Night Song.
