The Clever King
This is one of the amazing inspirational moral stories for kids to read. Once upon a time, in the ancient times, there lived a king. He was both wealthy and curious. One day, out of curiosity. the king left his palace and made his way to the passage outside his city. There, on a road that was frequented by many people, he decides to test his own people. The king observes many people from his spot. First, a wealthy merchant arrived. Upon seeing, the huge boulder in the middle of the road he exclaimed loudly, “What is the king doing? Isn’t he supposed to maintain these roads properly?” So, the wealthy merchant and his men went around the huge boulder.

Upon seeing the boulder in the middle of the road, he stops. The king looks at the peasant, intently following his actions from that point onwards. To the king’s surprise, the peasant laid his load of vegetable down and begins pushing the boulder.
The peasant succeeds after much sweating and pushing. After doing so, the peasant starts to gather his things. When he was doing so, a purse lying on the ground caught his eyes. “A purse?” he thought. The peasant wondered where it came from.
Upon closer inspection, the peasant finds a note from the king stuck to the purse, “Whoever removes the boulder from the road, this is a gift to them” The peasant found many gold coins inside the purse and learned a value lesson that many failed to understand. “Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition,” the peasant whispers, smiling as he walks away with a purse full of gold coins.
